One of the biggest problems you are likely to encounter in psychforums is that a lot of people who are moderators or administration are disordered. This means that they too are suffering from the exact same personality disorders that people are trying to get support from when they join the place.

A lot of times the moderators will criticize people for no reason, or over petty things, and people end up feeling devalued. People who were in emotionally abusive relationships need support, and sometimes they need to vent. Well, at psychforums , the disordered moderation there will censor most of the things you say. This, needless to say, is highly inappropriate, because what they are doing is attempting to moderate your feelings. They tell people how to say what they are feeling. They also tell people what they are allowed to say and what they are not allowed to say as they express themselves.

What I am talking about is different than usual forum moderation. I’m referring to controlling personalities who have absolutely no right to be in the positions that they are in. What does it take to be a moderator at psychforums, you may ask? Well, besides a lot of free time on your hands, all it takes is a high number of post counts. Sure, they also want to make sure you have a drama free history there, but that only means you spent all your time there abiding by their censored thought.

I must admit, there are several places at psychforums where admin does a pretty good job, but not in the personality disorder sections. Another big evil that admin is guilty of performing at psychforums on a consistent basis is that they defend the flamers who have personality disorders. So, if one woman flames a thread started by someone who does not have a personality disorder, admin will do nothing about it. And if she person who was attacked by the person with a personality disorder decides to defend themself, then admin comes in and does something about it.

The bottom line there is a lot of favoritism there at psychforums and it all favors the people who have the personality disorders. Nine times out of ten, it is the people who have the personality disorders who are causing all the problems. This is very very bad, and the moderators are unknowingly creating emotional scars in a lot of peoples lives who simply are going to psychforums for help.
